“Life is music, all is music…B sharp, C natural.”-Kamau Daood
See natural. Be sharp. Images are able to communicate in ways that words sometimes cannot. I find that pairing profound images with music—a universal language that can transcend various barriers—inspires new conversations, thoughts, interactions and moments that may have been otherwise overlooked. There is a peculiar beauty in photographing people, beauty evident from the emotion in their eyes to the declarations in their body language. Even when given a prompt or a source of inspiration to “model,” a bit of each person’s own identity and character seeps through. Everyone has a story to tell, “Day 2: The Second Encounter” is about giving them a chance to tell it and in return, reflecting how we interpret it. This is my story.
